Predictions: Who Wins the East?

by Evan Hilbert

The SEC West this year is seemingly a foregone conclusion. It is going to take a major effort from a very good team to knock LSU off this year. Arkansas and Alabama have a chance, but look for them to fall somewhere behing the Tigers, as they run away with the West and the overall crown. There is an outside chance that they can run the table this year, as well. Order of finish:

1) LSU
2) Arkansas
3) Alabama
4) Auburn
5) Mississippi State
6) Mississippi

The East is a different animal altogether. Any team from the East could come away with the division (though nearly impossible for Kentucky and Vandy). The winner of the East could have two losses in their division. In the end, the surprise will come when South Carloina knocks off Florida and Tennessee, and finishes the season with only a couple of losses. Between UT, Florida, and Georgia they just beat up on each other; and Vandy and UK find a way to steal some from the big boys. Tim Tebow will not be able to carry the gators anywhere near the championship again; and UGA and UT have improved. In the end, the order will be different from the norm.

1) South Carolina
2) Tennessee
3) Georgia
4) Florida
5) Kentucky
6) Vanderbilt
