Pokey Chatman Steps Down as LSU Head Coach

One of the stable’s in women’s college basketball was LSU’s coach Pokey Chatman. Chatman took the Lady Tigers to the final four twice after taking over in 2004. Chatman has a record of 90-14 a very good record in the tough SEC. It came as a shock to many at LSU. Chatman has cited she wanted to purse other career opportunties. She didn’t eaborate what they were, but most likely othger coaching jobs.
Chatman will be missed as she always had her teams ready to play. We wish Pokey Chatman the best of luck in her future endeavors. She has left the LSU program in good shape and whoever steps in should be able to keep the Tigers moving forward.
