Doing the ChaCha!

Ever wanted to know who is the all time leading scorer in Kentucky hoops history? Or wondered how many yards Emmett Smith gained during his years at Florida?
The best little bar bet settler is to do the cha cha… or rather text ChaCha… to get the answer to any sports question you can come up with.
No matter what your question (even if - HORRORS! - it isn’t sports related), ChaCha is there 24-7 to give you the answer. Just text your question to 242-242 (which, conveniently spells chacha) and your answer will be sent back via text in a matter of minutes.
Oh, and did I mention the service is free? Normal text messaging rates from your own carrier apply, but ChaCha doesn’t charge for it’s service.
The key is real live humans on the other end of the text. Your question goes to an “expeditor” who relays it to a “guide” who specializes in the area of your question. Then that person, using their computer, finds the answer and sends it on it’s way back to you.
Rick Reilly, the former Sports Illustrated writer who now writes for ESPN The Magazine, decided to try to work for ChaCha (after admitting his own addiction to the service). He found out it wasn’t as easy as he had thought, and the ensuing column he wrote will give you a good laugh, as well as insight into how the whole process works.

You can also ask questions via phone at 1-800-224-2242 or by visiting ChaCha.com.
Give ChaCha a try the next time you simply must know who won the Egg Bowl the last decade.
Go to ChaCha.com for more info on the service… or text 242-242 and say SECTalkOnline sent you!
