Candace Parker got to watch most of the first half from the bench as she got two quick fouls and it wasn’t something she was very happy about. Luckily for Parker her team picked up the slack and was in it at halftime. in the second half it was all Parker as she tallied 14 points and 13 rebounds along with Nicky Anosike who added 14 poinnts to lead Tennessee to a 56-50 win over North Carolina.

This was one of the most physical games I’ve seen in Women’s College basketball in a long time. The game had it share of physical fouls and turnovers were a big factor in the low score and physical play. Tennessee moves on and will now play Rutgers for the right to see who will be national Champions for 2007.

The LSU Lady Tigers tournament run came to an abrupt end as Rutgers used a very stingy defense and some hot outside shooting to defeat LSU by a score of 59-35. LSU could do nothing all day against rutgers. They shot miserable from the floor, and alot of that had to do with the Rutgers defense who packed in the middle so they were forced to shoot outside and couldn’t hit any shots. You have to give rutgers credit they came in with a great defensive plan and was able to execute it to perfection and thus they are moving on.

You have to give the Lady Tigers credit for getting this far after losing there coach before the tournament started. They played hard, but they had their bad game at the wrong time.

The Florida Gators are now just one game away from back to back National Championships as they disposed of the UCLA Bruins by a score of 76-66. The Bruins just didn’t have the people to match up with the Gators when they got into foul trouble. The Gators play tough defense and can shut down most teams whenever they want.

Florida is back where they wanted to be in another National Championship game and now the only one in their way is Ohio State who they easily beat earlier in the year. Should be quite a game on Monday Night.
